Raw & Real Emotions.

Here are my notes for this live lecture.

Get a notebook and follow along. Speak yourself and get answers. Where does this come from let's unpack.

"WALK IN THE AUTHORITY OF YOUR ROYALTIES, NO FLINCHING, YOU DON'T EVEN BLINK! !!!!!!!!

Stay high!!!!!

Let’s have a conversation.

What are stereotypes you always hear about black women and their hair?

When I say I don’t like Twist -outs and wash-n-gos, how does it make you feel?

When I say:

Don’t comb your hair wet.

Because hair is weakest when wet.

It’s easier; combing dry hurts.

Don’t air dry your hair?

Over 100k strands with independent follicles. Causes thinning over time.

Blow dryers are bad. I love twist-outs and wash-n-gos. It’s easy; I don’t have time. I don’t know any other style.

Don’t finger detangle.

10 digits and 100k to 400k strands.

Flat irons are safe.

As long as you follow certain steps.

They caused heat damage the first time I used them in 10 years.

Blow dryers and flat irons don’t cause damage.

They damage my hair. It takes too long. Im

Don’t make products in your kitchen. Live bacteria cause scalp infection.

Products try to scam us.

Don’t put food in your hair.

Same as above.

Don’t use rice water.

Don't use apple cider vinegar.

Don’t grease the scalp. Blocks the follicle, causes scalp disorders.

Out of all these things, what other than these same emotions do you have?

You're going to teach the new generation this, even though you’re a part of a minority that it worked for. There are factors like a good diet, hygiene, etc. If it worked in spite of your poor practices, you're one of those women that could have hair to their knees.

Why the offense without the knowledge?
