I have a scalp disorder called CCCA which is a form of scarring alopecia. All the hot combs, flat irons, relaxers, jherri curls, wave nouvea, weaves, wigs and braids (box, goddess) along with the stresses of life helped this disease progress along. I’ve been told by my black female dermatologist that it’s a prominent condition among black women with no cure. I’ve gotten steroid injections to the scalp to help with the inflammation and thinning of my hair. My hair always grows and breaks once it reaches my cheeks.

I’m hoping to learn the right way to take care of the hair that’s on my head. I’ve been all natural for some time now.

Cyn, your definitely an inspiration knowing you also have a condition but your hair has grown so healthy.
