Balding and thinning: These are two words that hunt most. We dread balding as we see thinning in the scalp. Most times your not at fault, our body works in cycles. Please check out this eBook to understand the natural growth cycles in detail.

Androgens are hormones that contribute to growth and reproduction in men and women. Androgens are usually thought of as male hormones, but the female body naturally produces a small amount of androgens too.

DHT is an androgen and gives males their "manly" characteristics. DHT cause's hair follicles to miniaturize, and this contributes to male pattern hair loss. By the age of 50 years, over half of the men in the U.S. will probably experience hair loss mediated by DHT.

When you ingest food with high levels of inorganic hormones you increase the levels of hormones "Androgens" in the body. High levels of androgens, can shrink your hair follicles as well as shorten your hair growth cycle, causing hair to grow out looking thinner and more brittle, as well as fall out faster. A increase in DHT in the body will weaken the follicles causing the hair to grow back slower sometimes preventing your hair growing out through the follicle permanently. This is the leading cause of balding and thinning not braids and weaves.

When we combine unhealthy hair practices with the natural rhythm of the human body you get balding and thinning that seems irreversible. There is a way to get your hair back but you must have a routine in combination with a body gang of DHT blockers. Let's talk more about a few of my favorites.

Essential Oils that block DHT.

  • Rosemary Oil- Rosemary Extract inhibits 5-alpha-reductase

By inhibiting the action of enzyme 5-alpha-reductase in hair follicles, rosemary extract reduces the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone. Lower levels of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in hair follicles helps prevent androgenetic hair loss.

  • Oregano Oil

  • Cedarwood Oil

  • Oregano Oil

  • Peppermint Oil

  • Pumpkin Seed Oil

  • Baobab Oil

  • Moringa Oil

  • Blackberry Oil

  • Flaxseed Oil

Herbs (More Coming Soon)

Bhringaraj (False Daisy)

Bhringraj contains vitamin E, which is known to fight free radicals that can impede hair growth.

Bhringraj oil has antimicrobial and antifungal properties that can help reduce dandruff. The oil also has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help psoriasis or other skin irritations on the scalp. It is also said to improve circulation to the scalp.

Carrier Oils

  • ORGANIC Argan Oil-

One of the main DHT blockers are delta 5 sterols inhibitors of the above alpha 5 reductase this active principle is found in large amounts in argan oil which makes it one of the best DHT blockers available.

Cardioprotective argan oil properties have been associated with the presence of various (poly)phenols within the oil. In addition to tocopherols, caffeic acid, oleuropein, vanillic acid, tyrosol and catechol are the main phenols identified so far from argan oil.
